Today's organization is United Way. Each day I will have a new organization on this blog to which I hope you will donate to if you feel you can. I will not have any information on if you donated or not so please remember to get any receipts you may want or need from the organization themselves. All I am doing is promoting awareness about different organizations. I feel there is no reason to think about charities just around Christmas time, people are in need all times of the year. All I ask is that you at least consider donating one dollar each day. For those who feel called to donate, any amount is helpful, one dollar or a hundred dollars. You each know what you can financially do.

About Salvation Army: A statement on their website reads “The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. About United Way: United Way has the goals of improving education, helping promote healthy lives and assisting people in achieving financial stability. This is a charity that is making efforts worldwide. With this I want to let people know, it is likely there is a local United Way office in your area and if you prefer to donate there that is wonderful too.

About Lions Club: Lions Club has been a huge part of my life because when I was growing up my mom was a member. They are well known for the funding they provide for people with vision problems but they also have programs for youth, programs for those in disaster areas, programs to help third world countries with vaccines and also programs to help provide clean water. When you donate you get to choose what type of donation you want to make: a disaster donation, humanitarian donation, sight donation or a donation in honor of/in memory of a loved one. Today's organization is Leukemia Research Foundation. Each day I will have a new organization on this blog to which I hope you will donate to if you feel you can. About Leukemia Research Foundation: They are located at 3520 Lake Ave., Suite 202 Wilmette, IL 60091 and you can call them at 847.424.0600. According to their website “The mission of the Leukemia Research Foundation is to conquer leukemia, lymphoma, and myelodysplastic syndromes by funding research into their causes and cures and to enrich the life of those touched by these diseases.” (leukemia-research.org).

Goal

The whole goal here is to raise awareness about the needs of donations not just around Christmas time but all 365 days of the year, thus the name. There is no reason we can't give other times of the year but it seems that we are mainly reminded during Christmas. Troops don't need support just around Christmas, those who go hungry are hungry more than just on Christmas, abused Humans and abused animals don't need help healing just during the holidays. For those who aren't struggling too much think about donating even a dollar a day, it is easy to donate online and my blog will have links to the daily charity I have chosen at random, for those who money is tight for, try considering a dollar a week, for those especially blessed with money, donate what your heart is leading you to. If you really think about it a dollar is a candy bar or a soda. I don't feel one dollar and about 5 minutes of our time even once a week is too much to ask. I will not have access to any info so I will not know at all if you have donated or have not and will not know amounts or anything unless you specifically tell me and I will not be asking anyone to disclose that information as to some that may be very personal.
This "organization" is completely not for profit and I am not biased to any particular charities that I list in my blog so if there are any that you would like me to list please let me know and I will do what I can to get it on there.
